What's new to 0845

Ofcom latest announced future changes is now not expected to affect 0845 numbers. You may still want to change your 0845 following Ofcom guidelines a change to 0844 or perhaps 0800 may be wiser.
0845 does not generate any revenue yet callers still pay higher rates from mobiles. The most popular option for those changing from 0845 is to change to a "low call rate" 0844 or 0843 number where you can receive a revenue starting from 1p/minute.

Ofcom have indicated that there will be no future changes planned to the pricing of 0844 or 0843 numbers which are charged to the caller at only up to 5 pence per minute from a BT landline i.e only around one pence or more per minute that a normal landline call.

A small revenue share is also available to companies using 0844/43 numbers which is another reason why many businesses are choosing this number range.
