08 virtual numbers are chosen for the price associated to the number range chosen, so all 0845 numbers are charged at the same price by a network & similarly all G6 0844 numbers have the same price rule & a set price/minute applies. Only 09 and 0871 numbers are classed as premium rate numbers, these are charged at much higher rates from 10p/minute through to 150p/minute from BT landlines. Revenue is available to you on G6 0844 or 0843, or 0871 numbers, or any 09 number, often with no charges.

So you must choose your number range (and in doing so you choose the price for the caller) so 0871 is the most expensive for the caller & will generate the highest revenue outpayment rebate for your business, then 0844 is lower for the caller but logically offers your business less of a rebate.

Many companies do not offer as generous an out payment as us here at 08UK (BT generally offer starting rate of 2p out payment initially for a 10p/minute 0871, we offer almost double that as our starting rate). If you are using an existing 0844, 0843 or 0871, 0872 you may be missing out on this additional monthly revenue which we would be only too happy to pay to you.
