Rebate on 0845, Revenue Is Still Possible

Can we still earn a rebate on 0845? YES “We want to use 0845 and get a rebate for our 0845 minutes, is this possible?” YES

“We have had the 0845 number for years, can we earn an 0845 now? YES. 0845 is now expensive for callers isn’t it?” NO.

“Will complaints about our 0845, stop the money generated revenue created from being paid to us?”. YES.

These are common quotes from conversations our team has all the time about 0845 post July 2015 Ofcom changes.

The major carriers chose, (all UK number range holders at the time) a new charge rate back in 2015, for many major networks a price point of 2p/minute was chosen for most of their 0845 ranges.

Not glad that your BT 0845 is only charged at 2p/minute? not surprising really, when you are not receiving a rebate, what is the point of 0845.

Note all 0845 numbers here now in the UK are all charged somewhere between 1p/minute through to 5p/minute.

If you happen to have a 5p/minute 0845 then here at 08UK we can pay you some revenue per minute if you were to Port the number/s to us.

The problem is not the service charge on the numbers, the problem is that the access charge applied by EE, Vodafone, 3 Mobile, 02 in fact all the mobile networks is around 40p/minute.

Yes 40p/min on top of the 2p/minute for the 0845 means callers paying 42p+/minute, great thanks mobile networks!

Unless you have shares in the mobile networks, or you are receiving a revenue back from your 5p/minute, 0845 is pretty pointless.

12 years on, we know exactly the truth about inbound virtual number services, rebates on 0845 and revenue share rates per minute.
